The WRT/ASD Combo class is a 5-day comprehensive in-person program that combines two essential certifications: the Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) and the Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD).

This IICRC approved WRT/ASD Combo class takes place in both the classroom and the IICRC approved “flood house”.  The dynamic training combines classroom instruction with practical application.  The class is conducted in both the classroom and an IICRC approved Applied Structural Drying facility (Flood House).  Students will engage in various tasks, including water extraction, moisture mapping, and documenting the extent of the damage.

The Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification demonstrates your knowledge and skills in performing remediation work. It signifies your understanding of water damage, its impacts, and the drying techniques required for structures. Achieving this certification indicates your proficiency in handling water losses, sewer backflows, and contamination issues like mold.

With the Applied Structural Drying (ASD) class, we begin to focus more on the structure.  This training is performed “hands-on” in a flooded residential structure, with the focus placed on proper techniques of extraction, setting up equipment, monitoring and documenting the structural drying sequence properly from inception through completion of the job.

Emphasis is placed on:

  • Health and Safety

  • Psychometrics

  • Category and Class of water damage

  • Proper Techniques of extraction and the different types of equipment
