March 13 – 15 Applied Structural Drying (ASD) Class

The IICRC-approved Applied Structural Drying (ASD) class provides in-depth, hands-on training aimed at teaching the effective, efficient, and timely drying of water-damaged structures and contents. Conducted in a dual setting of a classroom and a specialized “flood house,” this dynamic training merges practical application with theoretical instruction. Students actively participate in tasks such as water extraction, moisture mapping, documenting damage extent, and making informed drying decisions based on data from drying flooded structures.

Focusing more on the structure, the Applied Structural Drying Class involves hands-on training in a flooded residential setting. The course emphasizes proper extraction techniques, equipment setup, monitoring, and documenting the structural drying process from start to finish.

Emphasis is placed on:

  • Health and Safety
  • Psychometrics
  • Proper Techniques of extraction and the different types of equipment
  • Properly setting up equipment
  • Inspection Equipment
  • Proper application of antimicrobial products
  • And more

Upon successfully completing the 3-day, 22-hour class (excluding exam time, lunch, and breaks), class graduates will be well-prepared and adequately equipped to carry out mitigation services while ensuring the health and safety of both workers and occupants.

Prerequisite:  Water Restoration Technician (WRT)

 IICRC Exam Fee:  $80.00
