May 6 – 9 – IICRC Live Streaming: Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT)


The IICRC approved Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification equips the student with basic knowledge in the field of water damage restoration.  You will learn the effects of moisture on various materials, and how to use different monitoring tools to make accurate decisions in a drying strategy.

Emphasis is placed on:

  • Health and Safety of occupants and workers
  • Mitigating the damage
  • Category and Classes of Water loss
  • Equipment and Monitoring Tools
  • Different building materials
  • Application of antimicrobial biocides
  • Content manipulation
  • Documentation

Upon achieving the 4-day WRT certification, the student will demonstrate the foundational knowledge to understand the procedures necessary to mitigate water losses, sewer backflows, and potential pre-existing contamination such as mold.   The Water Restoration Technician certification is a required prerequisite to several other classes and is required to reach Master Water Restorer status.

The class is a 4-day class, held via a Zoom link.  An email with all links and information, to include the class manual and handouts, will be provided prior to class, along with instructions to register for the exam at www.iicrc.org.
