The IICRC approved Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) class is a comprehensive program that instructs individuals engaged in property management, property restoration, IEQ investigations, and related professions on mold and sewage remediation techniques. The course places a strong emphasis on teaching these techniques to individuals who will be actively involved in implementing them in the field. 

Upon successfully completing the 4-day, 28-hour class (excluding exam time, lunch, and breaks), class graduates will be well-prepared and adequately equipped to carry out remediation services while ensuring the health and safety of both workers and occupants. 

The Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certification validates expertise in mold and sewage remediation techniques for professionals engaged in property management, restoration, IEQ investigations, and related fields. It highlights your proficiency in conducting remediation services while prioritizing the health and safety of those involved. 

Emphasis is placed on: 

  • Health and Safety of occupants and workers 

  • Mold and sewage remediation procedures 

  • Environmental microbiology 

  • Building containment zones 

  • Antimicrobial and disinfectant chemistry

  • Documents and Regulations

  • P.P.E., correct procedures
