The IICRC-approved Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TCST) certification class is an immersive hands-on training, held on location in Panama City, FL.  Students will learn how to handle the unique situations encountered when performing trauma and crime scene cleanup, regardless of surface, item, or location. In this hands-on class, we will delve into the unique challenges encountered during trauma and crime scene clean-up operations.  Successfully completing this TCST certification allows a student to demonstrate knowledge of the various procedures and precautions taken when performing work at a trauma/crime scene.

This Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TCST) class is based on the ANSI/IICRC S540 Standard for Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup.  

Emphasis is placed on: 

  • Health and Safety Requirements

  • Proper documentation and reporting procedures

  • Worker Sensitivity and mental health checks

  • Remediation of structure and contents

  • Hazardous Material disposal

  • Equipment and tools 

Upon achieving the IICRC certification, you will be able to demonstrate proficiency in inspecting and investigating human blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) contamination to establish hazard assessments, work plans, and procedures for cleaning and safely transporting contaminated material.
