Live Streaming Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TCST)

The Live Streaming Trauma and Crime Scene Technician (TCST) certification covers the unique situations encountered when performing trauma and crime scene cleanup, regardless of surface, item, or location. In this class, we will delve into the unique challenges encountered during trauma and crime scene clean-up operations.  Successfully completing this TCST certification allows a student to demonstrate knowledge of the various procedures and precautions taken when performing work at a trauma/crime scene.  This class is based on the ANSI/IICRC S540 Standard for Trauma and Crime Scene Cleanup. Upon achieving the IICRC certification, you will be able to demonstrate proficiency in inspecting and investigating human blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) contamination to establish hazard assessments, work plans, and procedures for cleaning and safely transporting contaminated material. 

The course will cover: 

  • Health and Safety Requirements

  • Proper documentation and reporting procedures

  • Worker Sensitivity and mental health checks

  • Remediation of structure and contents

  • Hazardous Material disposal

  • Equipment and tools 

The Live Streaming Trauma and Crime Scene Technician class is held via a Zoom link, live, with an instructorA working camera and audio are necessary to participate in the classStudents will receive the manual and all handouts, along with links to the Zoom class and to register for the exam through the IICRC website.
